care guide

many of our products are made from polymer clay, and although they are a durable cured plastic, have certain care needs. they are strong and can last for years if cared for properly, however polymer clay can still break and be damaged if mistreated.

  • dust lightly or buff gently with a cotton cloth to retain the shine and buttery-smooth nature of our sanded and polished polymer clay products.
  • if more cleaning is needed, spot clean lightly with rubbing alcohol or gently with soap and water.
  • polymer clay burns when it approaches 350 degrees fahrenheit, so keep it away from heat and be sure to adorn jewelry after you've done your hair to avoid curling iron or blow drying heat damage.
  • avoid using harsh chemicals around your polymer clay products
  • although certainly strong and often with a natural amount of flex, our products made with polymer clay are not meant to be bent, folded, or excessively toyed with. in order to retain the integrity of the polymer clay over the years, it is best to treat it kindly and with care. it is absolutely normal, however, if some of your earrings for example have some flex and bend to them.
