honeyseed studio isn't here only for creating thoughtfully crafted gifts. our studio exists to cultivate good feelings, connections, and spaces for all. we recognize the importance of spreading "the good" to more than just our customers. it's up to us to put the resources and good feelings back into our communities. here are some of the ways we are working on using our platform to spread good things to everyone:

monthly monetary or food&goods donations / reparations / community investments
Objective: to reinvest resources back into our local communities in an attempt to uplift those around us and to aid them in self-lead success. this can include direct payments to individuals or community groups that service groups such as BIPOC, disabled & chronically ill folks, houseless people, and LGBTQ+ individuals.

low-waste / low-impact business model and practice
Objective: to reduce our environmental impact as a business, and to offer additional low-impact options for customers. examples include printing our products on recycled stock, using recycled materials, reusing product and material scraps to minimize waste, and in the future offering carbon offsets for customers to purchase as an option to their shipping.
Our Carbon offsetting project has been sourced (goldstandard.org) for purchasing offsets by the tonne. We are also researching and learning more about this process and how to offer it to our customers. We use biodegradable eco safe packing peanuts made in Michigan, USA from a corn starch that are disposable down your kitchen sink or used to fertilize soil.
